Tyros 4 Styles Free

This collection is for owners of the Tyros5 or Tyros4 (or even Tyros3) keyboards. It includes, of course, styles specifically for and from these Tyros models, which include three right-hand voices as opposed to the two right-hand voices on the PSR-S models. But it also includes many additional files for these Tyros models including Multi-Pads, Registrations, and MusicFinder databases. It even includes hundreds of midi files developed on Tyros models. These incredible resources have been developed and collected by many Yamaha owners over many years. If you are a new Tyros owner, you will find a bit of everything you need to keep you occupied and happy with your new keyboard for a long time. A more detailed description of collection contents are provided below.

There are nearly 5,300 styles in this collection, over 5,000 of which are unique. The collection includes original preset Yamaha styles, style collections from several Tyros owners, style conversions for the Tyros4 of from other Yamaha and other keyboards, and Song-Style collections developed on Tyros keyboards.

Preset Styles. There are over 2,400 preset styles from the last three Tyros models (Tyros3, Tyros4, and Tyros5) and the last two CVP models (709 and 609). You will discover that styles of the same name in the various Tyros models invariably have different OTS voices. You will also discover that later models, which may introduce "new" styles to the standard set, may also eliminate styles from earlier models. On the CVP models, there may be some OTS voices not in the Tyros, but you can easily replace these with the voice of your choice.

Style Collections. Eileen has generously provided her tuned styles from her Tyros5, her Tyros4, and Tyros3 keyboards. I have also included the Tyros3 styles from Chris collection. All told, there are over 1,000 styles in this category.

Song Styles. Song styles are styles that have been specifically tuned for a particular song with appropriate voices and tempo and then saved under the name of that song. Load the style and you are all set to begin playing that song. Of course, you still need to be able to play the song! Styles are often set up like this to facilitate performers playing a "gig". I have included these "gig" disks from three different Tyros performers: Eileen, Hammer, and the late Neal Saunders. All told there are over 860 styles in this group.

Conversions. There are also over 860 styles in this category. Included here are my conversions of the PSR-8000 and PSR-9000 styles for the Tyros4. These, of course, will also play fine on a Tyros5. Also included are conversions of the Technics KN5 styles and the Roland G7 and G1000 styles.

Fred Smith has created two special collections for Tyro4 owners - Christmas and Crooning. These will also work just fine on the Tyros5. The Christmas collection includes 60 songs. It includes a registration file, a text file with lyrics, and sheet music with marks to say when to move from button to button in the registration. It also includes some external styles and pads that may be required in various registrations. There is documentation that explains how to put all this together and how you can have a karaoke party. The Crooning package is similar and includes 100 sing-along song favorites, each complete with registration, lyrics, and sheet music. Documentation file are also included in the Crooning package.

In October, 2010, Yamaha announced its newest flagship arranger keyboard, the Tyros4. Like all of the Yamaha arranger keyboards, the new Tyros4 has some exceptional styles and has more of them than any previous Yamaha keyboard. The following notes are from the Yamaha Tyros4 web site:

The Tyros4 preset styles in each of the style categories are listed in the table below. New style names are highlighted. You will note that there are 86 new style names, but even names that match styles in the Tyros3 may not sound the same since many of the styles incorporate new Tyros4 voices in the style itself as well as in the OTS voices.

The Tyros4 has 500 styles while the Tyros3 has 450, yet there are 86 new styles listed. How is that possible? Well, there are several styles in the Tyros3 that are not among the Tyros4 presets. If you are trading your Tyros3 for a Tyros4, you may want to keep a copy of these styles. They are listed by category in the table below.

Styles in the Tyros4 continue the SFF 2 format that started with the Tyros3. The Tyros4 should be able to play any of the styles for the Tyros3 or the PSR-S910. In addition, styles from earlier keyboards can also be played in the Tyros4. As a result, there are literally thousands of styles available for the Tyros4, many of which you will find on this site.

Onacimus has converted styles from a number of "Classic" Yamaha keyboards (PSR-730, PSR-740, PSR-8000, PSR-620 & PSR-510) for use on SFF2 keyboards like the Tyros4. You can find these conversions on Onacimus' Covnersions page.

Onacimus' SuperMegaPlus Oriental conversions for the PSR-S970 will also play very well on the Tyros4 and Tyros5 models. There are 299 styles available in three zip files: 23-World1[OR], 24-World2[OR], and 25-World3[OR].

(Aug 2018) Onacimus' project to convert Genos styles converted 232 styles as of June 10. Many of the styles have new Mega! Acoustic Guitars of T5. Some have Mega! Choir and SA2! Style Voices. The voices were changed according to the availability of T4 Panel voices. (Note: a WE folder holds some styles with an different DSP effect. Choose the version that sounds best to you.)

In late August, Onacimus revised the new GENOS styles by editing the Drum notes by Drum Edit (Drum Setup) function of PSR-S970. He plans to convert the rest of the Genos styles including adding Right3 voices for the Tyros4 and Tyros5 conversions. The first 8 style categories are now complete. I have rearranged the GENOS styles as per TYROS categories with comments in an XL file.

(Nov 2010) Eileen is now the proud owner of Yamaha's new flagship, the Tyros4 and, as you might expect, she has started developing styles for the new T4. Her T4 conversions are found in the table below. Note that many of these styles will also work fine on the PSR-S950. Additional styles from Eileen can be found on her Eileen's Style Conversion page.

(Oct 2010) - Hammer was one of the first performers to get his Tyros4 in the States and he was also the first to give us a gig disk for use on the T4. Click on the gig disk title to download a zip file containing the song styles listed. You will find additional gig disks for the Tyros3, the PSR-S910, PSR-S900, and the PSR-3000 on Hammer's Gig Disk page.

(Jul 2013) - The 9000Pro styles have a rhythm and bass that are too loud when played on the various Tyros models. I have started a project to adjust these styles for use with the Tyros4 and also add OTS voices to the styles. These OTS additions may have no resemblence to those on the original 9000Pro and I have also made occassional alterations to the accompainment voices so these 9000Pro styles used are only a starting point for this set of conversions. I assume most of these will also play perfectly fine on the Tyros3. -- Joe Waters

This next-generation Tyros can reproduce instruments and arrangements from over 500 different styles of music from around the world with the press of a button &#8212 50 more than Tyros 3. Studio-style DSP effects like reverb, chorus and EQ add an extra element of pro-level sound quality to the 2,153 dynamic instrument Voices, 30 organ flutes and 44 drum sets. Multi-pads allow for special phrases, and even trigger selected samples in sync with a particular style in real time. 2ff7e9595c
